- Abstract
An idealized model for the circumferential hysteresis machine has been derived and this model is shown quantitatively to predict the machine performance at synchronous mode. The effect of the permeabilities and coercive force of the rotor magnetic materials on the machine performance has been studied and their exact evaluation have been made such that the predicted results agree with those obtained experimentally. The consequences of the theory to optimize the performance of hysteresis machines are also discussed.
