- Abstract
Zionism is an expression of the Jewish renaissance which began in the Post-Emancipation era. Religious Zionism is committed to the task of adding to the spiritual and cultural dimension of the political movement. Mizrachi, the political-religious wing of Zionism; strives to preserve and maintain the traditional foundation of the Jewish people in their land. It is seeking the means of applying the age-old values to a modern state in constant flux, amid pressures from without and within. Religious Zionists believe that the restoration of Israel was inevitable, according to the ancient prophets. They see their role as that O-P helping to rebuild a community which shall be a, worthy dwelling for the Divine Presence and a Light to all nations.
