Abstract
  • The world is currently in the biggest mass movement of people, goods, finance, and ideas in history. With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, trends of connections, mobility, and alternate forms of remote work were amplified at unprecedented rates. This presents an opportunity for an adjustment in our way of static living and sets the stage for a more nomadic lifestyle. In a world with a working acceptance of nomadism, architecture could be formed to follow the fictions it ventures and adapt towards a contemporary way of living. Great flows of changes create ways for a new norm. This thesis explores concepts of transitory architecture that could progress current and future advancements for a revolutionized nomadic norm in what has been a rooted world. The research unlocks the potential of nomadic architecture, while underscoring the importance of physical connectivity and a sense of distinct belonging within permanent and temporal environment.
